Delicious and creative food! I love trying new places and therefore only re- visit a handful of restaurants that hold a special place in my heart. This is one of them! I've been to George & The Dragon for all types of reasons- dates, family celebrations, just lunch. As far as the appetizers go, the Teriyaki Ribs are a must! Bangers and Mash is my go to entree although everything else that I've tried is also tasty. Kid Friendly!!! I absolutely love that their kids' menu has miniature versions of a couple of the regular entrees.

My kids always want to eat what I am eating and this way I don't have to share my entree. They also have a few books and toys to keep the kiddos busy. I wanted to give this place 5 stars so badly.

The food was amazing, our server was so friendly and took the time to chat with us and let us know about the menu. The steak sandwich was amazing, the steak was perfectly tender and the bread wasn't soggy - so good! The food was, amazing. We WILL be back because of the food.

However, my major complaint comes from the wait/being seated. We visited ~2 weeks ago, and I debated writing this. We were told it was 1. Friday night - we were completely okay with waiting. We told the hostess that this was fine, and that we would let her know if we changed our minds for any reason, and that we would be over at Patima which is next door.

We back about 3. 0 minutes later. The hostess greeted us again as though we hadn't been there yet. We told her party of two, our name, everything again.

She wrote us back on the book. Didn't say a word, just wrote us down. We sat down and waited. We sat and waited right next to the hostess station, at this point it had been about 2 hours since our initial arrival. No offer for a drink menu, appetizers, etc. We watched tables leave, clear out, folks walk in and then be seated immediately.

She looked over at us at one point, muttered 'oh shit' under her breath, and then we were seated within the next 5 minutes. At this point there were ~5 open tables in the entire place. A party of 2 had been seated at the corner booth for large parties, the bar had mostly cleared out, and people that had come in after us had already finished their meals and left.

However, we did notice one fairly large party that had been there since we had arrived, still waiting at the bar. They mentioned to us that they hadn't been seated yet, and that they were leaving to go next door to the Malt Shop.

I was really disappointed in this. At the time I didn't want to assume that she had forgotten about us, that maybe the other folks had reservations, etc.

However, I just couldn't get over the fact that we had waited nearly 2. However, I loved the food - and the atmosphere. So we will be back and hopefully this was just a fluke! I was in a dessert mood, but a specific kind of dessert mood and Yelpers, thanks for your positive reviews bc like many places G& TD doesnt put their dessert menu online (WHY???) Even more odd to me was they didn't have a printed dessert menu either. Our waiter just rambled off a bunch of things so quickly I could barely understand him. But he said creme brulee first, and that is what I was hoping for. It was divine. I didnt eat dessert first though, even though it's what I was hoping for.

At 8: 3. 0 on a Tuesday we were seated immediately at the only open table. I can see why people like the atmosphere here. There were several small children.

There was a table with four men with beard, but were all of them were tshirts from breweries? Nope. Only three of them. The fourth had on a tshirt from an animal rescue. So yes, the crowd is EXACTLY who you expect in this hood. We ordered onion rings bc we forgot that chips = steak fries at a "pub." This worked out in our favor bc the onion rings were incredible and the chips/fries were meh. Neither of us finished them. We both very much enjoyed our sandwiches.

Stopped in here based off Yelp recommendations & seeing it on Diners, Drive In's and Dives. They fit us in without a reservation but those are highly recommended. It's a small British pub themed place with some exotic menu items. Service was very friendly as expected from a neighborhood establishment. We shared a salad "Elizabeth"(?), the Mac n cheese and the onion dip appetizer.

All items were good with the two cheese dishes being highlights due to the restraint of making them too cheesy and creamy. Neither was overly rich which allowed us to enjoy instead of reaching for water all night. One tip is to go with the "Mr Millers Pick" beer.

It seems to be a rotating tap and makes for a fun way to try something different. Bartender was great too and all that combined makes for a fun experience. I came here a long time ago (4 years ago?) and forgot to write a review. My high school friend and I came here to catch up on life and etc, you know the whole deal. We arrived on a Sunday for brunch. It was busy. We were greeted right away and seated at the booth by the windows. At the time my cholesterol was super high and I was trying to watch what I eat. No fatty food. The minute I saw Salmon with rice I had to get it right away. It was very tasty and I finished it. Not ashamed. My friend ordered fries and she said it was very good.

Our food came right away. Our waiter was super friendly. He keeps on checking up on us while my friend and I were chatting away. My friend find our waiter hot and I told her to do something about it.

Lol. When we got our receipt my friend left a note for the waiter saying you are good looking or something like that.. Yes, I will come back for the food and everyone should too. Street parking. Fellow Yelpers recommended this place and wow wow wow. For starters, we came on a weekday and the place has customers, so much so we waited about 7 minutes.

As soon as we sat down we had water served immediately. When it came to the food . Both appetizers were delicious, my favorite were the ribs, the meat was soft, not too sweet, and a good portion size for an appetizer..

Entree - I went with a dish that had white rice, a currying sauce, not overbearing with the scent of curry or flavor, well balanced to say the least. This place was great, all across. Exceptional marks across the board. I was recommended this pub and eatery by a colleague that lives locally. She added (rather, insisted) that I try the bacon onion dip - no problem, Sara! I started with a Minnesota brewed brown ale on tap that was excellent.

I opted to sample a second beer, but quickly returned back to the full- bodied brown ale. As far as fare, the bacon onion dip was a homerun (forgive the baseball metaphor, but the MLB All Star game was on tv that evening). The dip was super decadent, and required willpower not to devour the whole thing. For a main entree, I ordered the braised beef rib.

Wow! The beef fell apart seamlessly and melted on my tongue. And that gravy could've rivaled Grandmother's thanksgiving recipe.

The garlic mashed potatoes and crisp green beans were equally delish. I couldn't have possibly made room for dessert until the bartender announced that they had a key lime pie tart. Not surprisingly, it was very good (without being too heavy). Beyond the beers and meal, the service was homely and impressive.

The bartender was prompt with everything, and conversational whenever time allowed. And then one of the establishment's proprietors caught me on my way out (in fact he walked out with me and chatted about my dining experience before my Uber arrived). A very nice gentleman, co- running a top end operation.

Found this place through trusty Yelp, and dashed to make their Happy Hour on a Thursday with a friend. Had 2 glasses of lovely white wine, and the bartender was so friendly and helpful. We ordered the fried green beans, bacon and onion dip, and because everyone else was eating it, the fish and chips.
